3 Tips to Prep Your Home for Sale
If you are thinking of selling your home… This video is for you! For many people, when you even think about selling your home it starts to feel overwhelming. But that is what we are here to help with. Here are THREE things you can do to dip your toes in the home prep process:
1. Declutter:
Donate items you no longer need.
Pack away items you won’t need for a while (If you are selling in the spring, pack away your winter coats, that way they are out of sight and bonus, already stored away).
2. Depersonalize:
Put away all of your personal items (personal photos, religious items, sports memorabilia) anything that makes the home distinctly yours and distracts a buyer from being able to see their life fit in the home.
3. Make repairs/updates:
For this one I would suggest consulting a realtor prior to making any major updates or repairs (if you are in the Portland Metro area I’d be happy to help), but its good to start thinking about what should be done to make the home shine and what projects can be realistically tackled. As mentioned, while the process of prepping your home for sale is a bit daunting to most, we are here to help.
